Terms of Use

Kwiktrade Ltd is registered in Scotland and operates a marketplace platform across the United Kingdom, including Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Kwiktrade helps customers connect with tradespeople, receive quotes, manage jobs and projects, and request emergency help. Unless expressly stated otherwise, tradespeople using the platform are independent businesses and are not employees or agents of Kwiktrade.

You must provide accurate information and keep your account details secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by a failure on our part.

Tradespeople must provide truthful business and verification information and must only offer services they are legally entitled and suitably qualified to perform.

Customers can post jobs and receive responses from tradespeople. A quote, estimate, availability response or message from a tradesperson is provided by that tradesperson.

When a customer chooses a tradesperson, any contract for the actual trade work is normally between the customer and that tradesperson. Customers should review the scope, price, timing and any materials or exclusions before work begins.

Kwiktrade's emergency service is designed around a 60-minute response target. This is a service target, not a guaranteed arrival time or guarantee that a suitable tradesperson will always be available.

Availability can be affected by location, demand, traffic, the trade required and individual tradespeople's availability. For immediate danger, gas leaks, fire, crime or medical emergencies, contact the appropriate emergency service rather than relying on Kwiktrade.

The Kwiktrade Verified badge means the account holder has completed the verification checks Kwiktrade requires for that profile, including identity verification and applicable qualification checks. Insurance may be reviewed separately where provided.

Verification is intended to provide useful platform information, but it is not a guarantee of workmanship, conduct, availability or the outcome of any job.

Cancellation options depend on the stage of the job. Customers may be able to cancel directly before a tradesperson has committed travel or started work. Once travel or work has begun, Kwiktrade may require the customer to contact support so the circumstances can be reviewed.

Tradespeople must use the platform's cancellation controls responsibly and should avoid accepting work they do not reasonably expect to attend.

Tradesperson access may require a paid Standard or Premium membership. Current pricing and included features are shown on the membership pages before purchase.

Subscriptions renew according to the billing terms presented at checkout unless cancelled. Where a subscription is cancelled, access may continue until the end of the paid billing period.

You must not submit unlawful, misleading, abusive, discriminatory or infringing content. Reviews should reflect genuine experiences and must not be manipulated.

You retain ownership of content you submit, but give Kwiktrade the permission needed to store, display and process it for operation of the platform.

You must not misuse Kwiktrade, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with the service, impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts, scrape data unlawfully, bypass platform security or use the platform for illegal activity.

We may restrict, suspend or close accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users, the platform or comply with law.

We aim to keep Kwiktrade available and reliable, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, third-party services, network issues or events outside our reasonable control may cause temporary interruption.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Kwiktrade is responsible for operating the platform with reasonable care. We are not the provider of independent trade work and are not responsible for every act, omission or statement made by a customer or tradesperson merely because they use the platform.

Where legally permitted, these terms are governed by Scots law. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer rights or rights to bring proceedings in another UK jurisdiction where the law gives you that right.
