Tradespeople apply first, complete identity verification and any qualification checks that apply to their trade, then receive admin approval. Public Liability Insurance is strongly recommended but optional and is verified separately when provided. Approved members who pass the required checks display the Kwiktrade Verified badge.
✅ Verified Badge
Kwiktrade Verified means the account holder's identity has been verified and qualifications have been checked where relevant to that trade. Public Liability Insurance is optional and, when provided, its verification is tracked separately rather than being required for the main badge.
Identity is checked securely through Stripe Identity using an accepted government ID and selfie. Kwiktrade stores the verification result, not the passport or driving-licence images.
Submitted trade certificates and industry accreditations (e.g. Gas Safe, NICEIC) are reviewed and validated by our team.
Public Liability Insurance is strongly recommended. If a tradesperson provides it, Kwiktrade can review and record whether the cover has been verified.
Reviews linked to completed Kwiktrade jobs are marked as verified feedback so homeowners can distinguish them clearly.
Verified status is not permanent. We monitor feedback and can revoke the badge if standards are not maintained.
No membership payment is taken during review. Payment only becomes available after the required checks pass and Kwiktrade approves the application.
Verification is part of Kwiktrade onboarding. Customers see one clear Kwiktrade Verified badge rather than several overlapping verification badges.
